Goal: Create a visually pleasing, welcoming environment

George P Johnson was charged with orchestrating a Honda National Sales Meeting and wanted to soften and define spaces in McCormick Place convention center. This large exhibit hall had to be transformed into an event venue with multiple stages. Pink Inc. worked closely with GPJ to create a dramatic – but still fun – look and feel for the event.

Using white fabric structures from our Streamline rental line, and bold lighting design we successfully transformed what essentially was an austere, static place into a very welcoming, dynamic environment. A big space requires a big response and we nailed it with several of our massive 30’ (yes, that’s 30 feet!!) Tree of Life and Fruit Salad structures.

Here’s how it worked: The Fruit Salad Canopy was tensioned on a 30’ ring, then suspended from one point to produce a gravity-defying spectacle. The Tree of Life structure provided an unusual surround for the columns. And, as is the case with virtually all of our fabric structures, creative use of lighting and projection enhanced the visual impact of the installations.
