Greetings from Pink Inc.

The summer has been a great time to reflect and recharge getting ready for the fall and a new era!
We are so excited with our latest additions online and we look forward to unveiling our new website very soon!
It has also been terrific to talk to others about business and the industry.  One valuable event was Women in Exhibitions – WiE – I have been involved with this networking and support group since its inception 5 years ago.  The latest F2F meeting was just last month at TS2.
Covering the economy, we all agreed that the world has changed and we all need to play a part in helping our companies make the necessary adjustments – we spoke of “having a timely solution, ready for action.”  We discussed virtual and online programs, social media tools and how to maximize their benefit. We also discussed not only data collect but how to effectively read the data as interpretation is key.   It was all relevant and timely information.  If you are a woman in exhibits join us live or in our LinkedIn Group.
Or you can contact me directly and I’d be happy to talk to you more about joining.

Another great way to get ideas is to come to our TGIT – they have been such a success and are a terrific way to not only speak with our designers but also a great networking tool.  On a hot summer Thursday, come join us for a cool afternoon.

Pink Inc. ProJECT Spotlight
SUPER SATURDAY 12

For the past 12 years, Super Saturday, out in the Hamptons, has created a Designer Garage Sale for the OCRF – The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. Top fashion designers donate their products to the fundraiser and folks pay a premium to shop – great stuff at bargain prices and all the money goes to OCRF.

Mark Addison of EVENTSTYLE NY, produced and designed the event and selected Pink Inc’s fabric structures for the grounds. Our fabric sculptures were placed at three key places.  The Fruit Salad highlighted the food buffet, our signature Turning Birds focused the VIP tents entrance ways and our Galactikites created an environment in Elvira Grau’s Space Odyssey arcade area. Take a look at the pictures!  Check out some press HERE and HERE and read the full article and see more pictures HERE.

The event was started and hosted by Donna Karan, and this year raised $3.4 million dollars! Congrats to all and thanks for opportunity to support this terrific event!

PINK INC. PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT
FABRIC STRUCTURES ARE TODAY'S ARCHITECTURAL SOLUTION

Everyone is getting into the act! World renown architect Zaha Hadid has been working away on very interesting tensioned fabric projects.  I am particularly enamored by the JS Bach Chamber Music Hall in Manchester, England.  This is a must see  – and if you can get there live you should!  I hope to!

Also in Chicago take a look at the Centennial Pavilion.

and last year’s travelling CHANEL museum.

Speaking of Fabric Architecture, I would like to re-introduce you to the Fruit Salad.  This fabric structure is 10 years old this year and I was reminded seeing it out at Super Saturday what a beautiful shade structure and landmark it really is.  Its colorful diamond shapes beacon you from far away, and as your curiosity pulls you closer the shadows on the ground add to the visual spectacle. This Pink Inc. icon has staying power!
